
The Arab League Council held an extraordinary meeting on Thursday to discuss Turkish troops' incursion into Iraq's territories.
The meeting, which which was held at the level of Arab foreign ministers under UAE minister of of state for foreign affairs Anwar Qarqash in the presence of the league Secretary General Nabil El Araby, came upon a request from the State of Iraq.
Egypt's delegation to the meeting is chaired by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Turkish troops entered Iraqi territories weeks ago under the pretext of training the Kurdish Peshemrga forces near the city of Mosul but the Iraqi government responded to the incursion angrily and called for withdrawal.
