
The Council of Arab Foreign Ministers has voiced support for Iraq in its war against the terrorist group of "Daesh", said a statement following a meeting in Cairo on Monday.
The Arab FMs slammed Daesh militants for damaging religious and cultural monuments and burning thousands of rare books and manuscripts in Iraq.
The council called for not dealing with looted antiquities and retrieving them to Iraq.
The council slammed terrorist acts committed by the group, calling on countries worldwide to take strict measures to prevent the movement of terrorists across their borders.
The council called for providing assistance to Iraq and to give a hand to the government to help internally displaced persons.
