Confronting Daesh tops the agenda of an Arab interior ministers' meeting starting here on Wednesday to probe a comprehensive and effective Arab strategy against this ultra-radical terrorist group.
The two-day 32nd Arab Interior Ministers Council, held under the sponsorship of President Abdel Aziz Bouteflika, comes at a critical time in the Arab region that calls for a strategy based on a legal mechanism to activate Arab security cooperation, fight terror, dry out its financial resources and exchange security information to promote the safety and well-being of the Arab national.
Egypt's new interior minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar leads a ranking delegation to the meetings.
Also attending the conference are representatives of the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Maghreb Union, the Interpol, the Arab Tourism Organization and others.
