The General Secretariat of the Arab Lawyers Union condemned the recent destruction of antiquities of Nineveh museum in Iraq's Mosul by the Daesh terrorist group.
In a statement Monday, the General Secretariat said that this crime comes is part of the repeated brutal crimes committed by the terrorist group.
The rogue ideas by which this group has justified the destruction of antiquities are misleading and futile, added the statement.
The statement further warned of the conspiracies which are hatched against archaeological sites and museums in several Arab countries.
Daesh militant group, released a video on Thursday purportedly showing its fighters destroying antiquities inside Iraq's Mosul museum.
The video, the date of which could not be verified, also showed other militants demolishing statues with sledgehammers, saws and electrical digging machines.
