Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil el Araby on Tuesday received a delegation of the Syrian National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change, under Hassan Abdel Azim.
The meeting dealt with the recent developments in Syria in light of the outcome of last week's Arab foreign minsters' meeting in Cairo.
The two sides also discussed preparations for the Arab Summit session, slated for March 28 and 29 in Sharm el Sheikh and Egypt's preparations for the Syrian opposition forces' meeting to be held in Cairo in April to unify opposition visions and efforts to solve the four-year crisis in the Arab country.
Abdel Azim told reporters after the meeting that the delegation aims to prepare well for the Cairo meeting that would pave the atmosphere to negotiate with the Syrian regime to reach a peaceful settlement for the ongoing crisis in the country.
