Arab League chief Nabil El Araby condemned on Friday a Houthi attack against a military camp of the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
Earlier in the day, a shelling by militias loyal to the Shiite Houthi group and former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh in Marib province northeast of the Yemeni capital Sanaa, left scores of the coalition's personnel dead and wounded.
In a statement on Friday, Araby stressed the pan-Arab body's support for the coalition and the legitimacy of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
He also praised the efforts exerted by the coalition to restore the security and stability in Yemen.
He offered sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs as well as the governments of the countries taking part in the coalition.
He called for Arab and global efforts to restore security and stability and rebuilding institutions in Yemen.
