
The Arab League praised on Wednesday the preparations carried out by the State of Kuwait for hosting the Arab summit, due on March 25-26. Kuwait is doing a great job with preparations for the upcoming Arab summit, the League's Organizing Committee Chairman for the Arab summit Assistant Secretary General for financial and administrative Affairs Ambassador Adnan Issa Al-Khudair told reporters. Al-Khudair added that during talks through his recent visit to Kuwait as president of the League's delegation with the Kuwait national committee in charge of the preparation for the summit, an agreement was reached with regard to preparations for the summit, including action on related issues to the summit through preparatory meetings, both at the senior level and Arab ministers of finance and economy, and Arab foreign ministers' preparatory for the summit. He explained that a delegation from the Arab League under his leadership will visit again to Kuwait next Sunday to finalize remaining issues with the Kuwaiti side on the preparations for the summit and the draft agenda, all related logistical and technical arrangements, later a high-level delegation from the Arab League will head to the State of Kuwait on March 19th. Al-Khudair noted that there are four preparatory meetings for the summit which will begins on March 20th, a meeting of senior officials of the Economic and Social Council to prepare a file for the Economic and Social Summit, followed by a meeting of the permanent representatives and senior foreign policy officials from Arab countries on March 21st. Then there will be a meeting on the League's economic council which will be held on March 22nd, and last a meeting of Arab foreign ministers on March 23.
