The Arab League (AL) urged for a comprehensive vision to achieve Arab and regional commitment to protect children's rights in the wars and conflicts witnessed by the Arab region.
This remark was made by Head of the AL's Department for Women, Family and Childhood Inas Mekawy during a speech delivered during the inauguration of the third meeting of the Arab consultative committee for the child's rights on Monday.
The meeting took up the first draft of the Arab strategy to upgrade children's conditions in the Arab world.
Mekawy underlined that the Arab child suffers from the consequences of violence, terrorism and wars which breach his rights.
She further said that the AL prepares for developing a strategy to upgrade the children's conditions at a time of migration from the Arab region where the child suffers from displacement.
Mekawy underscored that the Arab world faces tough circumstances at the political, economic, cultural, social and humanitarian levels.
