
The Arab League (AL) urged developing a clear and unified Arab vision to overcome the negative impact of climate change on agricultural production, livestock and natural resources in Arab states, according to Director of the Arab League's Arab Organizations and Unions Department Mohamed Khair.
Khair made the remarks during his participation at the fourth conference of developing wheat and barley.
The two-day conference is organized by the Arab Center for Dry and Arid Lands( ACAD) of the Arab League (AL).
The AL minister plenipotentiary said that the indicators of the Agricultural and natural resources in Arab states is worrisome in the light of the large gap between supply and demand and the increase of the food deficit rates.
More investments should be pumped in the Arab region to establish joint agricultural projects and programs by using the available natural, financial and human resources, he added.
