Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah said Monday the Arab delegation to Lebanon aims to show solidarity with the country in the critical phase it undergoes.
The visit, that was kicked off by a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri comes in implementation of an Arab League Council resolution with the aim of showing Arab solidarity with the Lebanese people and government, as well as to support efforts on the political, economic and security levels in order to maintain stability of all Lebanese territories, Sabah said.
The Arab ministerial delegation also discussed with Berri ways to help Lebanon deliver its humanitarian role towards Syrians and Palestinians refugees.
The delegation, under Sabah, includes Mauritanian FM Ahmed Ould Teguedi and Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al Araby.
Kuwait is the current chair of the Arab Summit, while Mauritania chairs the League's Council of Foreign Ministers.
