Arab national security is under threat and Egypt is working hard to bring Arabs back together, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has said.
Differences between Arabs cannot undermine national security concerns and all Arabs have to preserve their national security, he added in statements to journalists on Sunday.
"Egypt has long engaged in struggle to liberate its territories and as long as it does not face direct military threats that target security and safety of Egypt and the Egyptians I don't think we could resort to a military act," he said.
On Egyptian-U.S. strategic dialogue, Shoukry said it was in place but postponed over the busy schedule of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
The dialogue is due to be scheduled after the current holidays in the West, he concluded.
