Chairman of the Arab Human Rights Committee Hadi bin Ali Al-Yami has urged Arab states that have not signed up to the Arab Charter for Human Rights to please do, stressing this will help promote human rights in the Arab world.
In a statement Friday, Al-Yami thanked police and army personnel in the Arab world for their efforts to combat terrorism that poses a threat to many Arab countries.
Al-Yami urged security officials in Arab countries which already submitted reports to the committee to follow up the implementation of recommendations approved by member states of the committee.
The Arab council of interior ministers is keen on developing a model plan to promote the culture of human rights at Arab security apparatuses, he noted.
