The Arab Parliament Bureau on Sunday convened an emergency meeting under Speaker Ahmed bin Mohammad al Jarawan at the Arab League here to assess the latest developments in the Arab countries hit by terror attacks.
Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby attended the meeting.
A statement released Sunday by the Arab Parliament ahead of the meeting said these attacks aimed at inciting sedition and destabilizing the Arab national security.
The statement said the meeting aims at assessing the moves that should be taken by the Arab parliament in the coming phase and not just issuing statements of condemnation to such attacks.
It also aims at augmenting Arab efforts aimed at achieving unity and maintaining the Arab national security against all terrorist attacks.
