Arab parliament president congratulates Iraqi PM-designate

President of Arab Parliament Ahmad Al-Jarwan Tuesday congratulated Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Haidar Al-Abadi on his assignment as prime minister, wishing him success in the upcoming period.
In a press statement issued Tuesday, Al-Jarwan affirmed that the Arab Parliament supports a formation of unified national government that works on overcoming obstacles and ensuring honorable life for all segments of Iraqi people.
The statement said that Al-Jarwan backs Iraqi people and calls for discarding differences in order to protect Iraq from dangers that beset by.
He pointed out that critical phase requires efforts of all people to get a unified and sovereign Iraq in order to meet the aspirations of all segments in the country by restoring security and stability, the statement added.
Security and stability of Iraq are very essential to help Iraq restore its key role and history as an eastern gate to Arab world, it concluded.
