
The Council of Arab Social Affairs Ministers will convene its 34th regular session in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh Monday.
A preparatory meeting will be held Saturday, said Arab League assistant secretary general for social affairs Badr el Din Alali in a statement Wednesday.
The UAE will chair the session on Monday.
A number of Arab organizations, as well as the UN, will attend as observers.
Participants will prepare for the fourth Arab development summit to be held in Tunisia in 2015.
Efforts to provide aid to the Palestinian people and reduce poverty levels in the Arab world will also be discussed.
The council's agenda of action for 2015 will also figure high in the session.
