
The Arab League follow-up committee on decisions and resolutions of the Arab Summit at the ministerial level, chaired by Kuwait, referred a comprehensive report on to the upcoming summit to be held by the end of March.
In a speech delivered by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who chaired the meeting, he stressed the importance of such committee as a means to implement the decisions and resolutions pertinent to the Arab League.
He applauded the efforts exerted by Kuwait in following-up and implementing the league's and the commitment shown by the member countries.
Kuwait headed a number of Arab ministerial delegations that visited a number of Arab countries, including Iraq, Lebanon, and Somalia, shedding light on the Arab issues in the international arenas, especially the Palestinian cause, the minister added.
He stressed Kuwait's keenness on supporting the joint Arab action, praising the coordination between the Arab summit's presidency and the General Secretariat of the Arab League.
Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed bin Helli on his part said in press remarks that the meeting discussed the final report of the follow-up committee and obstacles facing the implemenation of the summit's decisions, to be later forwarded to the upcoming Arab League summit, to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The foreign ministers and thier representatives of Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Mauritania, and Morocco partook in the meeting.
