The Arab Summit on Sunday reiterated the UAE’s absolute sovereignty over its three islands Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Mousa.
The Summit slammed the Iranian occupation of the three UAE islands in the Arab Gulf and supported all the procedures and peaceful means taken by the UAE to restore its sovereignty over the three islands.
The summit denounced Iran's continued consolidation of its occupation of the three islands, violation of the UAE sovereignty and destabilization of security and stability in the region.
It urged Iran to stop the violations and provocations deemed as interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign country.
The summit exhorted Iranian government to engage in direct and serious negotiations with UAE or resort to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to reach a peaceful solution to the issue according to principles and rules of the international law.
