Arab League Secretary General Nabil El Arabi conferred on Tuesday over the phone with Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdallah Al Saidi on the latest developments in Yemen.
A statement issued by the Arab League general secretariat said the two sides reviewed the recent escalations in Yemen and efforts exerted by UN Secretary General's envoy Gamal Ben Omar to help the Yemenis end their current crisis.
Arabi asserted to the Yemeni top diplomat that the Arab League is backing the efforts exerted by Yemeni President Abdel Rabou Mansour Hadi in restoring security and stability in Yemen, putting into effect the national dialogue resolutions and the Gulf Cooperation Council initiative on working out a political solution in Yemen.
