Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby urged forming a joint Arab force for confronting Daesh terrorists in Libya.
During an emergency AL meeting on Tuesday, Araby said he backs the interim Libyan government request for immediate Arab help against terror.
He said eradicating terror is the responsibility of all Arab and world countries, considering terror as the scourge of the age.
The meeting - held under Jordan - tackles the latest developments in Libya, especially Daesh crimes in Sirte.
Daesh militants are reported to have beheaded 12 people and crucified their bodies during the fight for the Libyan city of Sirte.
The majority of Sirte fell into Isis's hands at the end of May.
