As conditions in a number of Arab countries further deteriorate, the Arab League general secretariat becomes more worried of interferences by regional neighbors in Arab affairs, the AL chief said Wednesday.
The AL is convinced those neighbors do not really act to ease tensions, Nabil el Araby said.
He was responding to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry issued early April to comment on a press conference that followed the Arab summit in Sharm el Sheikh on March 29.
Back then Araby said that he was worried about Arab national security and warned of the negative role played by some regional neighbors.
Today, the AL chief still stressed strong ties between the pan-Arab body and Ankara, noting that relations are based on mutual respect. Both sides do not interfere in each other's affairs, Araby said.
