
Sixty-four terrorists were killed Saturday and 22 others arrested during an extensive operation in North Sinai.
Units of the police and army continued the Operation "Right of the Martyr" launched on Monday, to eliminate terrorist elements in Rafah, Sheikh Zuweid and Arish in North Sinai.
Also, a booby-trapped car was destroyed during the ground operation under the cover of the air force.
As many as 45 hotbeds were destroyed, 42 explosive devices defused and amounts of ammunition and weapons were seized.
Two army servicemen, including an officer, were killed in the offensive while one soldier was injured.
The army announced in the early hours of Tuesday that it launched an extensive operation dubbed 'the Right of the Martyr' on Monday in the volatile North Sinai region to rout out terror insurgents.
