The Armed Forces have killed nine terrorists and arrested 15 wanted people in a crackdown in the province of North Sinai, the military spokesman has said.
Mohamad Samir said Tuesday that the crackdown also resulted in destroying two vehicles, and destroying a truck and six motorbikes without license plates.
The motorcycles were used by terrorist elements to attack security forces, Samir noted.
He added that border guard forces aborted an attempt by 21 people to infiltrate and smuggle goods through borders in both Alexandria province and the southern borders.
The arrested illegal migrants included three Egyptians and 18 Syrians.
