Army officer shot dead in Cairo

An army officer was killed and two others were injured in a drive-by shooting in Gaser Al-Suwis neighborhood, east of Cairo, on Friday, the army said in a statement.
The unidentified gunmen managed to fled the scene after the attack, statement added.
The wounded have been transferred to receive treatment in an army hospital, it noted.
Moreover, the security forces have launched manhunt operation to arrest the perpetrators, according to the statement.
