
A state of high alert was announced in the North Sinai city of Arish following the death of two officers and the injury of three conscripts in a roadside bomb blast.
All exits and entrances of the city were sealed off and a curfew was announced from 7:00 p.m. till 6:00 a.m.
From now and then, security forces fire warning shots from different checkpoints.
Combing operations are still going on to find the attackers.
The roadside bomb went off while security forces were patrolling the international road in Arish.
