Azhar to hold international conference on Al Quds in February

Egypt's Al-Azhar Association of Senior Scholars under Grand Imam of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Tayyeb will organize an international conference on Al Quds Al Sharif in February 2016.

In a statement, the religious body said the conference mainly targets discussing the developments and Israeli violations against Al Aqsa Mosque.

Issues related to the expected effects of allowing visits to the holy mosque on the Palestinian cause and interests of the Palestinian people will also be high on the agenda of the conference, it added.

Meanwhile, the association also decided to form a committee to discuss Tayyeb's recent call on religious figures to offer decisive religious views regarding contemporary issues irritating Muslims all over the world.
