Bahrain’s Crown Prince Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifahas mourned the demise of Saudi King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who passed away earlier this morning, BNA news agency reported.
The Crown Prince said the late King was a great Arab leader, who had contributed effectively to security and peace issues and left clear imprints at the level of development and progress in Saudi Arabia.
He added that the late monarch had affirmed Saudi Arabia influential role at the regional and global arenas and exerted outstanding efforts to consolidate the joint action of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), citing his pioneering initiative to move from the "cooperation" phase to the "union" one, and call on Arab countries to overcome their difference and cement their solidarity to be able to face the challenges.
He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation for the late King Abdulla for his constant keenness to strengthen the deep-rooted fraternal ties bonding the two kingdoms and their brotherly peoples, asserting that Bahrain will never forget his noble supportive stances towards it on all occasions.
