
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this evening visited the Majlis of Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani in Riffa and the Majlis of Kanoo family in Mahooz.
His Royal Highness emphasised the Kingdom’s current development programme aimed at benefiting all Bahrainis. He highlighted that optimum allocation of national resources, based on principles laid out by His Majesty King Hamad remains a key priority for the Kingdom to ensure the interests of all.
His Royal Highness added that building on current achievements is vital in maintaining the Kingdom’s pursuit for a sustainable economy.
His Royal Highness also emphasised the significant role of the Legislative Authority in enhancing existing institutions, rights and justice. He particularly highlighted its role in strengthening coordination with the Kingdom’s Executive and Judicial branches and driving developments that act in the interests of all Bahrainis and the Kingdom as a whole. His Royal Highness continued by praising the role of His Excellency Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani in serving Bahrain and all the people of the Kingdom.
His Royal Highness went on to highlight strategic ties among GCC states, emphasising that these ties are underpinned by social and cultural commitment, and shared goals. In this context, His Royal Highness highlighted the role of GCC countries in creating a conducive environment for further economic development, and emphasised the current potential of furthering economic development and prosperity across the region through stronger coordination and collaboration.
His Royal Highness then highlighted the role of Majlises during the holy month of Ramadan in reinforcing the values of Bahraini society, including tolerance and unity. He noted that this commitment to the close bonds of society during Ramadan has become an integral part of Bahrain’s values, traditions and national identity.
His Royal Highness continued by highlighting Bahrain’s cultural and literature track record, which has helped reinforce its Arab and Islamic identity. He emphasised, in particular, the significance of Biet Al Quran in showcasing Bahrain’s Islamic culture through its unique collection of Quranic manuscripts and Islamic calligraphy, which have received great care by the founder of Biet Al Quran, Dr. Abdul Latif Jassim Kanoo. His Royal Highness went on to praise the role of Kanoo family in serving various sectors of the Kingdom.
His Royal Highness concluded by extending his best wishes to the people of Bahrain on the holy month of Ramadan, and expressed his pleasure in meeting a broad range of Bahrain’s society during Ramadan Majlises.
His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Salman bin Hamad Al KHalifa also accompanied His Royal Highness during his visits to the Majlises this evening.
