Bahrain keen on developing defence capabilities

Royal Guard Special Force Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa stressed the crucial importance of organizing exhibitions and conferences dealing with strategic affairs and defence industries.

He underscored the importance of such events which, he said, provide an opportunity to exchange expertise between participants from all countries in the world.

He made the statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), as he toured several pavilions at the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC2017).

He underlined the keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, to attract these strategic industries to Bahrain in cooperation with brotherly countries which achieved strides in these fields.

He said that the conference on military alliances would yield recommendations and results which serve the interest of countries in the region, particularly the combat against terrorism and extremism.

Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa affirmed the keenness of the wise leadership to develop Bahrain’s defence capabilities so to protect national achievements and support other countries.
