Bahrain king ratifies law on leasing real estates

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified law 27 for 2014 on leasing real estates.
The new law annuls previous ones issued under proclamations 29 of July 9th 1944, 42 of August 25th 1946, 42 of 1955 as well as law decrees 9 of 1970 and 8 of 1948.
Any text contradicting the provisions of the attached law is also annulled while the provisions of the Civil Law will remain effective as long as no text is included.
Lease contracts concluded as per law decree 9 for 1970 will become ineffective after three years from the date of this law.
Resolutions shall be issued by the minister in charge of the justice affairs to put the provisions of this law into force.
The Prime Minister and ministers shall enforce the provisions of this law which shall become effective six months after its promulgation in the Official Gazette.
