
King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifah, on Tuesday, sent a cable of condolences to the family of a Jordanian gendarme who was killed when a group of persons blew up an IED near a police center in a village south of Manama where the fallen gendarme was serving within a joint Jordanian-Bahraini police training mission. Bahrain police chief, Maj. Gen. Tariq al-Hassan, said a number of suspects were arrested and investigation is ongoing to determine other suspected perpetrators of the terrorist bombing which claimed the life of corporal Ali Mohammad Zuriekat in Demstan village.
