
The Kingdom of Bahrain is moving into a new phase of national partnership and cooperation to confront major challenges, including national and regional security threats, Al Ayam daily said.
The newspaper referred to the challenges of unprecedented high public debt and potential hazards of diminishing oil prices and their impact on the State's public budget.
In its editorial today, the newspaper hailed His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister's consent to present the Government's action plan before the Council of Representatives as the beginning of ushering into a new phase of democratic political work.
This is an embodiment of full partnership between the legislature as the representative of the people's will and the executive branch which assumes the management of public affairs, both of which share the formulation of Bahrain's future and its development, the dailys aid.
"This partnership has become highly imperative under the current local, regional and international circumstances in order to confront major challenges facing all, regarding the security and economic state of affairs.
The newspaper said the Government action plan is anticipated to be in line with the reform process of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding the anchoring of a community project that embraces everybody and in which everybody participate. The partnership is based on the values of tolerance, solidarity, justice and freedom, and seeks to accomplish a balance aimed to ensure stability and progress under ethical and legal controls.
