
MP Khamis Al-Rumaihi affirmed that GCC legislative councils will form a parliamentary committee to promote relations with the European Parliament in order to exchange expertise, strengthen communication in matters of mutual interest, coordinate parliamentary stances in international forums, consolidate cooperation on the parliamentary level, support economic and investment projects and clarify any misunderstanding and inaccuracies received from parties seeking to disturb bilateral relations.
He said that the Eighth Regular Meeting of the Heads of GCC Parliaments and Shura Councils, to be held here next Sunday and Monday will discuss foreign media policy of the legislative councils and strengthen relations with human rights organisations.
This came as the Bahraini delegation left the Kingdom today to take part in the meeting, headed by the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani.
Al-Rumaihi pointed out that GCC parliamentary meeting will review the annual report of GCC parliamentary meetings, summary of GCC joint work march 2014 presented by GCC General Secretariat and adopting the bylaw of GCC parliamentary committee in the legislative field.
