The World Trade Organisation (WTO)
Geneva - Emirates Voice

Member of the Shura Council and the Steering Committee for the Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Redha Abdullah Faraj took part in the ministerial conference of WTO and the 39th session of the steering committee which were held in Geneva on September 26 and 27 on the sidelines of the Public Trade Forum. He stressed that the conference and the session came amid fast-spreading technology in the world and the influence of modern tools on the world trade. He added that coordination had been made through the steering committee to prepare for the ministerial conference that will be held during the 11th session of the organisation in the capital city of Argentina, Buenos Aires.

The Shura Council member affirmed the need for WTO to work out organisational frameworks that are compatible with the remarkable technological progress while taking into consideration their effect on commerce. He called on members of WTO to unify visions and efforts to press ahead with sustainability of the global economy and ensure perpetual growth of international trade.
