
Minister of Information Affairs, Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi, today received Regional Director of International Peace Institute (IPI) - Middle East and North Africa, Nejib Friji, and stressed Bahrain's commitment to disseminate culture of peace and religious tolerance.
The minister affirmed that Bahrain has offers a model to follow in promoting dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions, based on legislations and effective procedures developed in line with the royal reform initiatives.
He expressed keenness to bolster cooperation and exchange technical and scientific expertise.
He explained that the regional and international media shoulders professional and ethical responsibility in reinforcing the culture of peace, dialogue and understanding among nations. It should also take the responsibility of rejecting calls for inciting hatred, sectarianism, violence, extremism and terrorism.
Friji hailed Bahrain's support for the activities of the IPI regional institute related to carrying out studies and researches promoting regional and international peace, security, stability.
