
Bahrain will celebrate the first day of Eid Al-Fitr tomorrow (July28), the High Islamic Affairs Council (HIAC) moon-sighting committee announced. In a statement today, the panel which convened at the HIAC premises, said that it had received no witnesses confirming the birth of Shawal crescent moon.
However, the Saudi High Court announced that tomorrow Monday, July 28, corresponding to the first day of Shawal 1435, would be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, based on witnesses. The moon-sighting panel includes Shaikh Ibrahim bin Abdulla Al-Saad, Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al-Qattan, Shaikh Rashid bin Hassan Al-Buanain and Dr. Shaikh Ibrahim bin Rashid Al-Merrikhi.
The High Islamic Affairs Council (HIAC) extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. It also congratulated the Royal Family, Bahrain people and the Islamic World, praying Allah Almighty to bless the Arab and Islamic nations with security, peace and abundance.
