Bahrain Triathlon, Duathlon results hailed
Manama – BNA

Shaikh Saqer bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Triathlon Association (BTA), extended his heartfelt congratulations to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, on the occasion of the achievement of the honourable results achieved by Bahrain Triathlon and Duathlon teams in the Arab and West Asian Championship held in Jordan.
Such successes reflect the enormous support of the wise Bahrain's leadership to sports and athletes in the Kingdom, he said.

"Bahrain continues to register its honourable presence at various sporting events on Arabian, regional and international levels. The results achieved in the Arab and East Asian Championship add to the great record of the Kingdom which is rich of accomplishments in the triathlon sport," Shaikh Saqer said, affirming that the achievements of the national teams in Jordan are a testament of the hard work and sincere efforts made by the Bahrainis.
Bahrain Triathlon team's athlete Mousa Al Qursh won first place at the Arabian and west Asian level, while his teammate Mohammed Al Ghais grabbed second place at the Arabian level and fifth at the west Asian level. Compatriot Ma'ali Tawer finished third at the Arabian level and sixth at the west Asian level, while his countryman Nawaf Al Dhaen came fourth at the Arabian level and seventh at the west Asian level. That was in the Duathlon competition, as the Kingdom's athletes have also made their presence felt in the triathlon race with Sameera Al Baitar winning first at the Arabian level and second at the west Asian level. In the men's contest, Bahrain's Abdullah Atteya finished 11th, while compatriot Hamad Al Mansouri came 14th.

There was also a race for the amateurs in the men's category, with Bahrainis Khalid bu Alaay and Ahmed Al Mahmeed winning third and fourth respectively at the Arabian level.
