
The Kingdom of Bahrain, represented in the Supreme Council for the Environment, organizes a regional workshop comprising Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-member countries for training on optimum practices adopted in compilation of national reports related to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The two-day workshop will be held under the auspices of Supreme Council for Environment (SCE)'s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dainah in association with the UNEP's programme for ESCWA office, and the International Environment Fund.
The workshop includes models for preparation of national reports aimed to choose best practices and compatibility with the items of such reports to ensure appropriate formulae.
The workshop also discusses the impacts of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change in the region, acclimatization methods and curbing their effects as well as futuristic vision in this regard. Several officials from the Supreme Council for the Environment, UNEP officials and GCC experts are slated to address the workshop.
