
Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) Dr. Fawzi Ameen has visited to Gaza Strip to be informed closely on the humanitarian needs of the Palestinians there following the recent Israeli offensive.
Dr. Ameen visited Gaza along with members of the "Arab Emergency Team" formed by the Secretariat-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organisation (ARCO).
He said that the team’s visit aimed to assess the urgent humanitarian and relief needs in order to provide them as soon as possible.
He added that the team had found out that the food and medical needs of the Palestinians in Gaza had been covered, while the wounded still need physical therapy and the families of the victims and the 30,000 who had lost their homes need psychological counseling.
