Bahraini cabinet condoles Saudi Arabia

The cabinet has condoled Saudi Arabia following the sad demise of the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and commemorated his cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It also congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and First Deputy Premier HRH Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Interior Minister HRH Prince Muhammad bin Nayef and wished them every success.
The cabinet session was chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
In the weekly post-cabinet press conference, Minister of Information Affairs Isa Abdulrahman Al Hammadi said the Council of Representatives has approved 44 programmes in the four-year government action plan, tabled by the cabinet.
He added that the components of the four-year blueprint that had received a parliament approval were in infrastructure, health, education and environment.
The cabinet put on hold seven sectors, for want of budgetary outlay, said the Information Affairs Minister, explaining that among seven was the demand for increasing the housing numbers to 40,000 over the four years, whereas the government agreed to build 20,000 in the same time frame.
In the health sector, the action plan agrees to build four health centres while the representatives want six, he added.
Similarly, the Representatives requested an increase in pensions and allowances, he said.
Of the 11 recommendations made by the Parliament, the government readily accepted four, he noted.
The Minister told journalists that the cabinet had also discussed the plan to relocate the aviation fuel tanks at Arad, from where they are now to within the airport premises.
The cabinet also congratulated the successful hosting of the Bahrain International Entrepreneurs' Forum, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the International Environment Forum, held under the patronage of the Supreme Council for Environment. Both were also jointly sponsored by the UNIDO.
