
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, has mourned the sad demise of the late Saudi Monarch the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who passed away earlier this morning.
HRH the Crown Prince said the late King was a great Arab leader, who had contributed effectively to security and peace issues and left clear imprints at the level of development and progress in Saudi Arabia.
HRH the Crown Prince added that the late monarch had affirmed Saudi Arabia influential role at the regional and global arenas and exerted outstanding efforts to consolidate the joint action of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), citing his pioneering initiative to move from the "cooperation" phase to the "union" one, and call on Arab countries to overcome their difference and cement their solidarity to be able to face the challenges.
His Royal Highness affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation and love to the late King Abdulla for his constant keenness to strengthen the deep-rooted fraternal ties bonding the two kingdoms and their brotherly peoples, asserting that Bahrain will never forget his noble supportive stances towards it on all occasions. HRH the Crown Prince added that Bahraini-Saudi relations had flourished during the late monarch’s era and reached advanced levels, which confirmed the solidity of those ties.
His Royal Highness said the prosperous march in Saudi Arabia will continue under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince HRH Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Deputy Crown Prince HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
HRH the Crown Prince prayed Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the late King Abdulla in eternal peace and bless him with heavenly rewards, grant all patience and consolation and guide King Salman on the right path to be able to bring about more progress and prosperity to Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people.
