
Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Services and Infrastructure Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has praised the role of the UAE leadership and people and their stances towards Bahrain, lauding its pioneering contributions to the kingdom’s development march, especially regarding infrastructure and vital services sectors.
Speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the outgoing UAE Ambassador to Bahrain Mohammed Sultan Al-Suwaidi, Shaikh Khalid said that the fraternal relations bonding the two countries and their peoples have become role models of bilateral relations.
He added that Bahraini-UAE relations have flourished within the GCC framework, which proves the sound visions of the founding fathers –the Late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, stressing that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan have, thanks to their wisdom and statesmanship, strengthened those ties, in line with their peoples’ desire to enhance common achievements.
The Deputy Premier lauded the UAE’s unlimited support to the Kingdom within the GCC Development Fund aiming to upgrade the infrastructure in a way that reflects positively on the Bahraini citizens’ daily life.
Shaikh Khalid commended the tremendous efforts exerted by Ambassador Al-Suwaidi to bolster joint cooperation, wishing him every success in his future diplomatic assignments.
The UAE envoy expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the kingdom for the constant support accorded to him during his tenure, wishing Bahrain and its leadership and people further security, stability and progress in all fields.
