Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Air Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has affirmed that the national carrier is committed towards its employees through enabling them to develop their scientific level, which will reflect positively on the company's productivity.
This came as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today Gulf Air's Director of Information Technology Dr. Jassim Haji, who obtained a PhD in business management from the UK-based Newcastle's Northumbria University.
Shaikh Khalid praised the content of the PhD thesis, noting that it can be used a guide to devise institutional policies that help bridge the cultural gap at multi-national companies between the local and expatriate workers, which will ensure sustainable harmony among them and increase productivity.
He also praised Dr. Hjji's outstanding contributions to the local press in Arabic and English.
Dr. Haji expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to the Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla for his constant support, which, he said, reflects Gulf Air's keenness to encourage its staff to acquire scientific and academic knowledge.
