
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today received the annual Parliament and Shura Council Report for the fourth session of the third legislative term. HM the King received at Al-Sakhir Palace Parliament Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani, Shura Council President Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh and members of the two houses who submitted the annual report.
He commended the efforts of the Parliament Chairman, Shura Council President and members of the two houses in serving Bahrain and its loyal people and consolidating the national march in the 3rd legislative session. HM the King lauded the pivotal role of the legislative branch of government in bolstering the democratic life and consolidating the parliamentary march as well as its contribution to Bahrain's development strides.
"All people in Bahrain are looking forward to the upcoming parliamentary and municipal elections", HM the King said.
He described the remarkable turnout of candidates and voters to take part in the polls as a source of proud, stemming from Bahrainis' awareness and culture as well as their determination to bolster their country's standing and contribute to its development and progress. HM the King said he was looking forward to the fourth legislative term so as to ensure further achievements for the sake of citizens' interests and the national economy.
"The coming phase will set the stage for achievements, nation-building and progress", HM the King said, commending the two houses for their achievements during the previous four sessions as well as their contribution to bolstering relations between the legislative and executive branches of government. Key Issues of concern to the homeland and citizens and ways of upgrading institutional work to achieve the desired goals were also discussed.
