Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa, Egyptian president hold talks

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today held talks with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi at the International Congress Centre in Sahrm Al-Sheikh, as part of his participation in the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC).
The two leaders reviewed the outstanding deep-rooted relations bonding the two countries in the political, economic, investment and tourism fields, and ways to bolster them to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
HM the King expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to President Al-Sisi for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him during his visit and participation in the Sharm Al-Sheikh economic summit.
HM King Hamad congratulated the Egyptian President on the success of EEDC conference, noting that the massive participation in the event is a living proof of the world's interest in supporting Egypt's economic and urban development march, on the one hand, and confirms its prestigious status at the regional and international arenas.
HM the King affirmed the strength of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations, and the kingdom's keenness on consolidating those ties, and extending bridges of cooperation with Egypt in all fields.
He pointed out that Bahrain's participation in EEDC will contribute to enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, and increase the volume of bilateral trade through cooperation between the private sector and financial and banking firms in both countries.
HM the King reiterated Bahrain's unwavering support to Egypt and its brotherly people so as to carry on its nation-building and development march, stressing that supporting Egypt in such a critical phase is a support to it as a state, history, civilisation and future.
HM the King praised the leading role played by Egypt in enhancing joint Arab action, and championing Arab and Islamic causes throughout history.
HM King Hamad asserted that Egypt is a "real safety valve for the region" because of its strategic and security weight for all the peoples and states of the region."
HM the King and President Al-Sisi affirmed the two countries' keenness on bolstering their cooperation in order to achieve joint interests and meet their peoples' aspirations.
They also expressed satisfaction at the steady progress of the two countries' outstanding relations.

The Egyptian President expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for the kingdom's honourable historic stances in support of his country on all occasions, and at all levels, lauding HM the King's constant keenness to boost the outstanding bilateral relations and open up new horizons of joint fruitful and constructive cooperation.
