
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Decree 4/2015 amending some provisions of Royal Decree 18/2008 regarding the establishment of Isa bin Salman Cultural Centre, as follows:
Article One: The text of the fifth article of Royal Decree 18/2008 regarding the establishment of Isa bin Salman Cultural Centre shall be replaced with the following two clauses:
1- The Centre shall have a Board of Trustees comprising the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and at least nine members to be named by a Royal Decree for a four years' renewable term , as follows:
a- The Ministers of Finance, Education and Information.
b- The Centre's Executive Director.
c- The National Library's Director.
d- Remaining members should be in possession of academic and cultural expertise.
2- The Deputy Chairman presides over the Board of Trustee's meetings in the absence of the Chairman or the occurrence of an excuse to him.
Article Two: This decree becomes effective as from the date of its issuance and should be published in the Official Gazette.
His Majesty the King also issued Royal Decree 5/2015 appointing the Deputy Chairman to Isa Cultural Centre and the Centre's Executive Director as follows:
Article One: Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Isa Cultural Centre and his term shall be until the end of the term of the current Board of Trustees and also appointed as Executive Director of the Centre.
Article Two: Cancellation of any provision that may contradict the provisions of this decree.
Article Three: This decree becomes effective as from the date of its issuance and should be published in the Official Gazette.
