
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Sakhir Palace Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, who is on visit to Bahrain to attend the 10th edition of Manama Dialogue.
The minister conveyed to HM the King greetings from Egyptian President Abdelfattah al-Sisi, who wished HM the King health and happiness and Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
HM the King reviewed with the Egyptian minister historic fraternal relations bonding the two friendly countries and peoples, extending greetings and wishes to President Al-Sisi and his people of further progress and prosperity.
HM the King hailed the advanced level of bilateral relations, paying tribute Egypt for its firm stances in support of Bahrain. He also commended the participation of Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, highlighting Egypt’s pivotal role in the Arab and international arenas.
"Egypt is the cornerstone of security and stability in the region with its leverage", HM the King said, adding that Egypt would always remain a key strategic pillar for the Arab World and Islam. Current regional and international developments were also discussed.
