
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today took part in the funeral of the late Saudi Monarch King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Al-Uud Cemetery here, in the presence of a number of Arab and Islamic leaders, and representatives of friendly countries.
After the funeral, HM the King and HRH Premier offered the sincere condolences of the Bahraini government and people to the Saudi Monarch the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince HRH Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the late King’s brothers and sons and to the noble Al-Saud Royal Family.
HM the King affirmed that Saudi Arab, countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Arab and Islamic nations had lost a great and iconic leader, who had dedicated his life in serving his country and championing Arabic, Islamic and human causes.
HM King Hamad asserted that the late Monarch was a role model of wisdom, statesmanship and dedication, adding that his landmark achievements and leadership will remain an example to follow.
HM King Hamad said Bahrain will always recall with gratitude and appreciation the late monarch’s imprints and contributions to Saudi Arabia’s progress march, and keenness to enhance joint GCC march and cementing cooperation among the member states.
HM the King affirmed that the Kingdom’s leadership and people will always recall with pride the late King Abdulla’s honourable supportive stances towards it.
HM King Hamad prayed Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the late monarch in eternal peace and grant the Saudi Royal Family patience and consolation.
HM The King expressed confidence that King Salman and Crown Prince HRH Prince Muqrin will carry on the late King’s role in serving Arab and Islamic nations and enhancing joint Arab action to be able to face challenges.
