
GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, hailing the unrelenting royal efforts to complete the democratic march and push the reform process towards achieving its goals.
"HM the King always proves, through his sincere words and deeds, his farsightedness, wisdom and resolve to lead the national march with utmost dedication to achieve the royal goals, braving all challenges, difficulties and obstacles, for the sake of Bahrain’s high interests and loyal people’s aspirations", he said.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Dr. Al-Zayani hailed the letters which were exchanged yesterday between HM the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, who delivered a framework consisting of areas of common political ground identified during the National Dialogue talks.
Dr. Al-Zayani hailed the framework as a source of hope which augurs well for the future of national work and a crucial step which proves Bahrain’s ability to withstand challenges and overcome hardships, thanks to its farsighted an wise leadership and loyal people.
He paid tribute to HRH the Crown Prince, hailing his unrelenting efforts to fulfill the royal assignment as well as his wisdom, vision and ability to assume the national responsibility he was entrusted with.
He urged all political associations, components of the social spectrum and citizens to respond constructively to this landmark step, turn the page of past differences and aspire to the bright future.
In the statement, he also called on all political societies to contribute positively to the upcoming polls for citizens to be able to elect its legislative representatives, stressing his confidence in Bahrainis’ dedication and keenness on taking part in the democratic march and preserving Bahrain’s achievements and high interests.
