Bahraini king's representative inaugurates Abdulla bin Yusuf Fakhro Social Centre

His Majesty the King's Personal Representative, HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today highlighted the role of social development projects in achieving sustainable human development and the march of comprehensive development, under the prosperous era of HM the King and his personal support for civil society organizations to provide all services to all segments of Bahraini society.
This came as HM the King's Representative today inaugurated Abdulla bin Yusuf Fakhro Social Center in Isa Town.
Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Fakhro, Minister of Social Development, Dr. Fatima Mohammad Al-Balushi, members of Fakhro family, invitees concerned with social affairs and media figures attended the inauguration ceremony.
The inauguration of this vital project coincides with the Kingdom of Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 42nd Anniversary of joining the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne.
HM the King's Representative was taken on a tour of Fakhro Center and was briefed on training sections for participants and beneficiaries. He hailed service programmes and activities provided for Isa Town community, in particular services delivered to the elderly, which embody the noble values that characterize the people of Bahrain.
He commended the support and initiatives provided by Fakhro family to contribute to serving the community along the bath of social development project.
Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, speaking for Fakhro family, expressed pride in HM the King's support for Abdulla bin Yusuf Fakhro Social Center, vowing to stand by HM the King and the wise leadership in their quest to achieve further progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people. He also extended gratitude to the Ministry of Social Development for their support.
Dr. Al-Balushi voiced appreciations to HM the King's Representative for patronizing the inauguration ceremony, noting that Abdulla bin Yusuf Fakhro Social Center is the tenth of its kind in Bahrain that the Social Development Ministry has assisted in their establishment.
Dr. Al-Balushi pointed out the Ministry's plan that aims to provide a social center for every 20,000 people.
Dr. Al-Balushi explained that Abdulla bin Yusuf Fakhro Social Center provides a number of services to the community, including social aid, family counseling services, training sessions and production units that aim to develop theoretical and practical skills in the area of community development.
At the end of the ceremony, HM the King's Representative was presented with a number of commemorative gifts presented by Minister of Industry and Commerce and Minister of Social Development.
