
Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza has received the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain Mohammed Sultan Al-Suweidi.
Dr. Mirza lauded the outstanding solid relations bonding Bahrain and the UAE, and the advanced level of their cooperation in various fields, especially in electricity, water and renewable energy fields.
The UAE Ambassador handed over Dr. Mirza an invitation from the UAE Energy Minister Suhail bin Mohammed Al-Mazrouei to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), to be organised by the UAE "Masdar" energy company in January, 2015.
The event will include the opening of the World Future Energy Summit and the Water Summit, the distribution of the Late Shaikh Zayed Future Energy Prize awards and many meetings, particularly those of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
The Minister welcomed the invitation, highlighting the importance of the kingdom’s participation in such a major international event which provide venue for participants from over 80 countries to exchange expertise and experiences in the fields of electricity, water and renewable energy.
The UAE envoy expressed sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him by the officials in the Electricity and Water Authority, noting that he is looking forward to Bahrain’s participation in such a prestigious global event.
